IntegrationsKlaviyo

Quickstart

Connect Klaviyo to memberr Subscriptions and verify your first event.

This page walks you through connecting Klaviyo to memberr Subscriptions and confirming that events arrive correctly.

Prerequisites

  • An active Klaviyo account.
  • A memberr Subscriptions account with the Klaviyo integration available in your Integrations page.

1. Connect your Klaviyo account

  1. In memberr Subscriptions, open Integrations.
  2. Click Klaviyo, then click Connect.
  3. You'll be redirected to Klaviyo to authorize memberr. Approve the requested OAuth scopes.
  4. On approval, you're redirected back to memberr Subscriptions with the integration marked as connected.

The Klaviyo integration uses OAuth - no API key copy/paste required. The scopes granted let memberr Subscriptions create profiles and emit custom events on your behalf.

2. Verify the connection

Once connected, the Klaviyo integration page shows a Send synthetic events panel. Click Send events to fire one of every subscription lifecycle metric to your own Klaviyo profile (keyed by the email of the user currently signed in).

Within a few seconds, you should see 10 new metric events on your profile in Klaviyo:

  1. Open Klaviyo.
  2. Navigate to Profiles and search for your email.
  3. Under Activity feed, you'll see all 10 metrics listed by name (e.g. Subscription started on memberr Subscriptions, Order placed successfully on memberr Subscriptions, etc.).

If the events don't appear, see Testing for troubleshooting tips.

3. Start using the events

Each metric is now available in Klaviyo as a trigger or filter:

  • Flows: Create a flow with the trigger set to a memberr Subscriptions metric (for example, Subscription cancelled on memberr Subscriptions to send a win-back email).
  • Segments: Filter customers by metric properties - e.g. customers whose last Charge processing failed on memberr Subscriptions event happened in the last 14 days.
  • Templates: Reference event properties (like product_title, next_charge_scheduled_at, customer_charge_currency) directly in your email templates via Klaviyo's tag syntax.

The full property list for each event is in the Events reference.

4. Wire up real subscription events

After the synthetic test passes, the integration is fully live - every real subscription event (created via your storefront, the customer portal, or the merchant admin) automatically flows through to Klaviyo. No further configuration is needed.
